Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced assistant manager/chef to oversee the daily operations of their kitchen cafe at the race track. This role combines managerial duties with culinary responsibilities, ensuring that both front-of-house and kitchen operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be a skilled chef with strong leadership qualities and a passion for delivering excellent service. Management: Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the cafe, ensuring satisfaction. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed. Culinary: Plan and prepare a diverse menu that caters to the tastes of our clientele. Oversee food preperation, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to sanitation standards. Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal and event-specific menus. Manage food costs and minimize waste. Customer service: Address customer enquiries and resolve complaints in a professiojal manner. Ceate a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring a positisve dining experience. Proven experience as a chef and in a managerial role,preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills witha creative approach to menu development. Excellent leadership and communication abilities. Ability to work efficiently uner pressure, especially during race weekends. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
