Assistant Restaurant Manager - Stellenbosch

Candidate Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • 2 - 3 years previous restaurant management experience or similar role in the hospitality industry at a similar establishment (5*or similar);
  • Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele;
  • Good knowledge of food and beverages, including dietaries, bar and wine varietals; WSET or similar wine knowledge certificate course is vital.
  • Team management & training abilities;
  • Must be well-presented and have strong customer service orientation;
  • Ability to learn details quickly (menus/wine list etc.);
  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g., evenings, public holidays, weekends);
  • Excellent interpersonal- & communication skills;
  • Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and accountable.
