Reference: JHB000527-Dana-1You’ll be based within the Enterprise Risk and Innovation division at our head office in Sandton, Johannesburg. You’ll report to the Head of Risk Management, who is accountable for risk management functions. What you’ll be doing if you get the job:The role will be responsible for- Assisting the Head of Risk Management with maintenance and execution of the Risk Management Framework across the organisation, ensuring effectiveness of risk management processes- Assist with performing the annual ORSA process and producing the ORSA document, including performing certain components of stress and scenario testing- Assistance with combined assurance process, with focus on operational, fraud and compliance risk identification and quantification across all processes- Assisting with setting the risk appetite statement and performing annual risk appetite modelling work- Tracking experience against key risk metrics, including solvency and liquidity, as well as assisting with producing quarterly risk reports and ORSA updates- Development of key risk indicators to assist in the effective monitoring of risks- Maintenance of the risk register and incident log, and reporting regularly on incident experience against risk appetite- Improvement and development of risk management reports and tools for the identification, assessment and monitoring of risks, including emerging risks Qualifications and experience:- Minimum honours level qualification in the field of statistics, mathematics, data science, actuarial, risk management, finance or other related field- Working knowledge of the insurance and/or financial services industry is preferableYour skills and character traits: - An optimistic, enthusiastic, energetic outlook- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), able to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders - Keen to take initiative - Sense of urgency and ability to follow through - Methodical planning and organizing of tasks, and effective time management skills - High attention to detail - Ability to work under pressure - Adaptability - Maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive business information - Learning and research capabilities - Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities- Technical capabilities:o Office 365 suite, with strong Excel skillso Bonus: SQL, Prophet, DCS Coding knowledge e.g. Python- Advantageous:o Knowledge of enterprise risk management concepts (and applications to insurance)o Knowledge of risk analysis techniques R 450000 - R 480000 - Annually
