Requirements:

Tertiary qualification preferable; viz. BCom / NDip in Supply Chain Management.
Experience working in a fast paced environment; viz. ideally in the FMCG or perishable foods environment.
Extensive Warehousing, Inventory Management as well as independent knowledge on ERPs, WMSs and experience with HACCP, ISO45001, 50001 & 9000 will be highly recommended.
This position requires the utmost attention to detail, time management and prioritisation skills.
Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
Must be available to work overtime (as required) and weekends (every second weekend).

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
Review and prepare work schedules, staffing requirements, space allocations, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.
Maintain HSE and Food Safety in the work environment by establishing and enforcing procedures and standards and complying with legal regulations.
Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory integrity.
To assist and support the Warehouse Controller in duties such as ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct.
Maintain proper warehousing and inventory control.
Ensuring correct put-aways and picking of inventory for dispatch and ensuring that put away and picking assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.
Assist the Warehouse Controller in general asset management, SHEQ checklists, preparation for any and all external supplier audits and maintenance / compliance of procedures / processes.
