Audit Senior CA(SA)

Join our client, one a Top firm in the US. Our client is seeking a dynamic and qualified Audit Senior – CA(SA) to become part of their remote team in South Africa. Our client has been providing first-rate tax, accounting and financial/advisory services for businesses, families and individuals.

Contract Period: 12 months annual renewable contract.
Location: Hybrid – Johannesburg or Cape Town Office.
Working Hours: Structured to fit lifestyle with a 4-5 hour working overlap with the US start from (14:00pm - 19:00pm SA Time), with the flexibility to complete the rest of the working day as best suited for the individual.

Your Role as an Audit Senior:

Conduct full audit engagements from planning to finalization, ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.
Perform detailed testing based on audit programs and draft financial statements with related footnotes.
Conduct planning and risk assessments, identifying significant risks and gaps in accounting systems.
Manage client relationships, addressing questions and information requests efficiently.
Supervise and train junior and intermediate audit staff, fostering continuous learning and development.
Perform detailed testing based on the audit program for designated audit areas.
Draft financial statements and related footnotes.
Complete planning and risk assessments.
Efficiently manage your time and proactively seek work.
Communicate questions, issues, and job progress/status effectively.
Ensure work is completed within assigned deadlines and budgets.
Use available resources efficiently to minimize unbillable time.
Act as a client contact for general questions and information requests.

Requirements:

Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA), CIMA or ACCA with 1-year post-article experience, ideally within the Construction, Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Distribution industries.
Experience in completing full audits from planning through to execution and finalization.
Proficient in using audit software: CCH ProSystem fx Engagement non-negotiable.
A solid understanding of GAAS and US GAAP.
