We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Auditor with completed SAICA articles to join our team for an exciting special project. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing audit work in accordance with agreed-upon procedures, compiling adequate and relevant working papers, developing a comprehensive portfolio of evidence, and assisting in the preparation of the draft audit report. Key Responsibilities • Audit Execution: Conduct audit activities as per agreed-upon procedures, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all audit tasks. • Working Papers Compilation: Develop and maintain adequate and relevant working papers that support the audit findings and conclusions. • Evidence Collection: Compile a comprehensive portfolio of evidence to substantiate audit findings and recommendations. • Draft Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of the draft audit report, including summarizing findings, formulating recommendations, and presenting audit conclusions. • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all audit work complies with applicable standards, regulations, and best practices. • Collaboration: Work closely with other auditors, team members, and relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the project. • Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed documentation of all audit activities and findings. • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance reviews of audit work to ensure accuracy and adherence to established standards. • Communication: Communicate audit progress, issues, and findings to the audit manager and other relevant stakeholders in a timely and effective manner. Qualifications • Education: Degree in Accounting/Audit with completed SAICA articles, Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of auditing experience, preferably within a similar role or project. • Skills: o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite. o Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Strong organizational and time management skills. Additional Requirements • Availability: Must be available to work on-site and/or remotely as required by the project. • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for audit assignments. • Confidentiality: Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards and uphold the integrity of the audit process.
