Job Title: Data Analyst – Malmesbury Location: Malmesbury, Western Cape, South Africa Reference : PHD/TM Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Market Related Job Summary: The Data Analyst is responsible for ongoing analysis of Health Care Information, obtained from a variety of Sources. It requires proficiency with Analytical Tools (STAT, SAS and Excel) and a detailed knowledge of Data Analysis methodology Technical Work Responsibilities : Data Monitoring and Analysis: Analyse and problem-solve issues with Current and Planned Systems as they relate to the integration and management of Data Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex Data Sets In collaboration with others, interpret Data and develop recommendations based on findings Develop Graphs, Reports, and Presentations of Project Results Perform basic Statistical Analyses for Projects and Reports Create and present quality Dashboards Generate routine and ad hoc Reports Load electronic data into the Database after performing relevant Quality Checks Support the Data Management Team in all Data Management functions Adhere to all Data Management SOP’s, Guidelines and Confidentiality Agreements Complete daily Timesheets for reporting purposes General Administration: Filing and management of all queries received electronically Completing of Timesheets Adheres to all Data Management SOP’s, Guidelines and Confidential Agreements Liaise with Stakeholders: Liaise with all Stakeholders when necessary towards the achievement of Organizational and Departmental Goals. Stakeholder engagement Make appropriate logistical arrangements for Meetings/Events Requirements: Education: A diploma/degree in Statistics, Data Analysis, Research Methodology or equivalent Experience: At least 2-3 years Data Monitoring experience At least 2 years experience in either the Health Industry or Research Industry Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel features and techniques, preferably with significant experience with PowerBI Demonstrated experience in Analysis and Presentation of Data Experience in Data Mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate Technical expertise regarding Data Models and Database Design Development Understanding of XML and SQL Understanding of HIV/Aids and TB Advantageous: A GCP certificate Programming skills Demonstrated experience using STATA, SAS, SPSS or other Statistical Packages for analysing large Datasets Significant experience with PowerBI Requirements : Computer literate: Moderate overnight travel (up to 20%) by land or air if required Driver’s License Own Car Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package as an End User Kindly provide current and relevant references for background checks All appointments are subject to the preferred candidates obtaining the necessary security clearance, reference checking, and competency assessment.
