We are focused on researching, supporting and implementing integrated approaches to managing TB and HIV. Job Title: Pharmacist Location: Rustenburg, North West, South Africa Reference CRD/ 8108/TM Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Market Related YOUR DUTIES WILL BE TO: •Development of Standard Operating Procedures for the Pharmacy plan •Continuous Development of systems for recording drug accountability and temperature control •Ensure medication is in stock and ordering of medication and study product when required •Responsible for the preparation and dispensing of study product according to protocol requirements and Good Clinical Practice Standards (GCP) •Responsible for completing the participants pharmacy record file •Collecting information form participants according to study product brought back •Ensure the safe disposal of study product •Responsible for monthly stock takes of study products and recording of it •Liaise with all Internal Customers and External Customers and Suppliers when necessary towards the achievement of organizational and departmental goals. •Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislation •Report all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human Resources •Adhere and maintain decision making authority as allocated to the position •Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals •Adheres to all management SOP’s, guidelines and confidential agreements •Ability to communicate effectively within the team •Willingness to work flexi-hours as required for projects Requirements YOU SHOULD HAVE: Qualification/Professional Membership: •Degree in Pharmacy •Registration with SA Pharmacy Council •GCP certificate (Advantageous) Work Experience: •At least 3 years Pharmacy experience •Clinical or research experience in TB/HIV care (Advantageous) Attributes: •Integrity •Innovation •Excellence •Results Driven •Teamwork •Ethical •Confidentiality •Empathy •Emotional Other: •Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land or air if required •Understanding of HIV/Aids •Own Car •Driver’s license •Fluency in local languages (Setswana, English, Sesotho, Xhosa, Afrikaans) NB: Non –South African citizens must have a valid work-permit These appointments are subject to the preferred candidates obtaining the necessary security clearance, reference checking and competency assessment.We embrace employment equity and are committed to achievement of fair and equal representation of our workforce.Preference will be given to internal applicants and candidates from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.Aurum welcomes applications from all persons with disabilities Whilst all applications will be carefully considered, only short-listed applicants will be interviewed.
