Our client in the Aviation Industry, requires the services of an experienced Automotive Electrician, who is excellent at fault-finding and problem-solving to join their team. Key performance areas: Repairs and overhauls on electrical systems in GSE equipment and vehicles. Install, maintain, identify faults, and repair electrical wiring and computer-based equipment in GSE equipment and vehicles. Diagnose, repair and service the fleet of GSE equipment and vehicles in accordance with the work specifications. Conduct ongoing risk assessments on equipment and its operations as well as ensuring that all safe operating procedures are adhered to. Promoting and driving the MORSE ‘Safety First' culture through all levels of the organization. Timeous creation and accurate completion of all job cards. Attending to unscheduled breakdowns and repairing with minimum delay. Carrying out all necessary checks and inspections for all equipment and vehicles at the required intervals and in accordance with quality and standards. Carrying out scheduled Preventative Maintenance as instructed for all equipment and vehicles in accordance with the quality and standards and in line with the stipulated intervals as per the Preventative Maintenance program. Provide electrical support and guidance to Senior Mechanics, Junior Mechanics and GSE General Workers. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and observing housekeeping rules at all times. The successful candidate must have: Matric Must be a Qualified Auto Electrician At least 4 years relevant experience in Electrical Maintenance, Fault Finding & Electrical Repairs Trade enrichment skills that is essential - Diesel, Petrol, Air Conditioning, Hydraulics & Pneumatics. Knowledge of GSE, Heavy Goods Vehicles and Earth Moving Equipment will be advantageous Must be able to respond to out of hours urgent calls when required. Must have the ability to communicate & develop a good working relationship with various Departments, authority members and managers at all levels. Must have a strong leadership background, problem solving and interpersonal skills Computer literate and competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
