AWS Data Engineer - Midrand
Looking for an opportunity with one of the leading companies in the manufacturing industry in search for an AWS data engineer that plays a crucial role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure on AWS, ensuring that organisations can effectively and securely manage and analyse their data. Continuous learning and adaptation to evolving technologies are essential in this dynamic field.Tech environment as follows:Terraform; Python 3x; Py SparkBoto3; ETLDocker; Linux / Unix; Big Data; Powershell / BashBasic experience/understanding of AWS Components (in order of importance):Trino Distributed SQL queries.Glue (ETL Scripting)CloudWatch; SNSAthena; S3Kinesis Streams (Kinesis, Kinesis Firehose)Lambda; DynamoDBStep Function; Param StoreResponsibilities:Demonstrate expertise in data modelling Oracle SQLExceptional analytical skills analysing large and complex data setsPerform thorough testing and data validation to ensure the accuracy of data transformationsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with precise documentationSelf-driven team player with ability to work independently and multi-taskExperience building data pipeline using AWS Glue or Data Pipeline, or similar platformsExperience preparing specifications from which programs will be written, designed, coded, tested and debuggedStrong organisational skills. Experience in working with Enterprise Collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA etcExperience developing technical documentation and artefactsExperience working with Data Quality Tools such as Great ExpectationsReference Number for this position is GZ58524 which is a permanent position based in Midrand–Semi Remote offering a contract rate to R780 Per Hour negotiable on experience and ability.
