An exciting opportunity has presented itself to appoint a suitably qualified candidate into the position of Banking Clerk. This position is based at Lance Laboratories in Richmond, Auckland Park (JHB Central). POSITION SUMMARY: Performs duties pertaining to the cashiering/banking • Attends to the Lancet Bank Recon system and MCTR system pertaining to the accounts receivable department to ensure that monthly targets are met. • Uploads refund payments to the internet banking system and the bank's account verification system ensuring that banking details are correct and that patient credits are reduced. • Attends to the allocation and reallocation of the Lancet debtor payments to eliminate customer complaints and ensure that patient accounts are timeously receipted. • Attends to the reconciliation of cashiering and day closure on the system, to eliminate customer complaints and report misappropriation of cashiering timeously. • Carry out adhoc duties and special projects as required by management, to ensure efficient departmental operational requirements are met. Qualifications: Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification Tertiary Education in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration preferred Experience: 2 Years Relevant Working Experience (Finance/Accounting/Business Administration) Relevant Job Knowledge: Healthcare billing procedures, documentation and standards Competencies required to do the job: Accountability Accuracy Assertiveness Attention To Detail Communication Customer Orientation Deadline orientated Ethical behaviour Honesty Planning and organising Problem solving Self-management Stress management Negotiable, dependant on experience and qualifications.
