Purpose of the Role: A role exists for a BI Developer in an online organization with a solid reputation and robust Data Team. This role requires a motivated, energetic, inquisitive and highly numerate person who has a solid technical base but also possesses an appreciation for numbers and understands the value that can be derived from interrogating them. Duties include, but not limited to: Integration of data into existing and new data structures , designing and developing scalable and reliable data integrations to enable data analysis. Driving continuous improvement of data quality, performance and reliability through testing, monitoring and proactive issue resolution. Conceptualizing, defining and delivering new reports as well as improving existing ones Collaborating with cross functional teams , adhering to project restrictions, regulatory controls and agile principles. Education of report end-users to ensure a maximum spread of expertise around the company This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities. The job holder may be required to complete any other reasonable duties in order to achieve business objectives. Essential Criteria: Candidates with at least 2 years work experience in a Business Intelligence or SQL Developer role will be considered. Strong experience (creation of stored procedures, functions, automation of jobs, performance tuning and optimization, RDBMS, error handling and logging, incremental data loading, change tracking/cdc etc.) Excellent proficiency using the full SQL server stack - SQL , SSRS , SSIS and SSAS in a high volume fast paced , preferably financial context. Advance ability in creation, implementation and maintenance of analytical dashboards and visualisations using Power BI or Planning Analytics/ or similar Advanced skills in MS Excel Driving new solutions based on business requirements Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in an agile team. Desirable Criteria: Experience integrating with API solutions Experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices Experience in CI/CD tools and processes (Git, DevOps) Knowledge in working with various ERP system I.e., Dynamics 365, SAP etc. Experience working with financial data. Person Specifications: The right person would be someone who shows versatility and passion for using and learning multiple technologies is problem solving oriented and troubleshooting. Has excellent communication, collaborative skills and is ready to work in a fast paced environment where the only constant is change.
