Job Title: Maintenance PLC Technician Location: Ladysmith Salary: R50 000.00 Per Month Job Type: Permanent Sectors: Engineering, Manufacturing, Retail Reference: 2080015 Vacancy Details KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Lead Robotics and Automation Responsible for effective operation of all machinery and equipment at our factory Repairing breakdowns on mechanical and electrical equipment to reduce production stoppage time. Candidate Requirements: Trade Tested Artisan (Instrumentation / Electrician) with proven experience in maintenance and programming of manufacturing equipment. (5 years’ experience) Or mechatronics/light current engineer with practical PLC programming and troubleshooting ( 3 years’ experience) Have Matric with Mathematics, Physical Sciences or N3 in a Technical field, Minimum of 5 years’ experience Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi PLC / Drives experience is essential. Have a strong electrical background. Experience on PLC’s and drives fault finding. Be hands-on and able to work in a pressurized environment. Be prepared to work shifts and overtime when requested, Have good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and able to use own initiative, Be a team player Have good communication skills.
