An exciting career opportunity exists in Somerset West, Cape Town for a Bookkeeper within the IT industry. The purpose of the Bookkeeper is to maintain the general ledger accounts up to Trial Balance, as well as manage the finance team and assist with certain HR duties. Key Performance Areas: Bookkeeping Payroll Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Understand the overall finance and accounting objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. Maintain the accounting system to ensure consistency, correct entry, and accurate reporting of all accounts Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change. Drive accounts team to be in line with company overall objectives Maintain a high quality of work Education and Skills: Bookkeeper Qualification. Interpersonal skills: such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment. Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with team members. Minimum Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a bookkeeper. Any experience working in the IT industry will be to your advantage. Previous experience with Zoho books will be to your advantage.
