Description Bookkeeper required in the Roodepoort for an Auditing Company. This role would be best suited for someone living in the Roodepoort Area, with a Certificate / Diploma in Bookkeeping and ability to work on multiple tasks at any given time. Role and Responsibilities: Maintain financial records: Record all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner using appropriate software or manual systems. This includes recording expenses, income, payroll, and other financial transactions. Manage accounts payable and receivable: Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and receipts. Monitor overdue payments and follow up with clients or vendors as necessary. Assist with financial reporting: Prepare and distribute financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure that all reports are accurate and comply with relevant accounting standards. Conduct audits: Assist in conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures. Identify any discrepancies or errors and make recommendations for improvements. Reconcile bank statements: Match transactions recorded in the organization's accounting system with bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Assist with budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide analysis to management. Provide administrative support: Assist with general administrative tasks, such as maintaining filing systems, organizing financial documents, and responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices: Continuously update knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements. Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge: Matric Bookkeeping Certificate / Diploma 1 - 3 years’ experience Pastel experience (Essential) Must reside in West Rand Required Skills: Strong attention to detail Proficient computer skills (Pastel and Excel Essential) Excellent time management and organizational skills Analytical and problem-solving skills.
