Description Fast growing medium-sized accounting and tax firm in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is looking to employ a Bookkeeper. The firm is looking for a candidate with experience in a firm environment that is comfortable with the bookkeeping function, has experience with VAT, UIF, EMP, CIPC submissions and is comfortable dealing with clients. An accounting or bookkeeping certification will be a plus, but candidates with related experience in a similar environment will also be considered. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform bookkeeping and accounting duties, processing of transactions, etc. Yearly bookkeeping tasks and reconciliations. VAT, UIF, EMP, and Workmans Compensation submissions. Statutory tasks and CIPC transactions. Preparing accounting work relating to compilations of annual financial statements. Ad hoc accounting and tax work Client interaction, relations, and visits to gather information and documentation. Qualifications and Experience: Accounting or Finance certification an advantage. Degree, Certificate, or Diploma in Accounting or similar. Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a firm environment. Remuneration: R180,000 pa ctc, negotiable on experience.
