Bookkeeper Eastern Cape - SPAR Group - Eastern Cape

A position has become available for a Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team, based in the Eastern Cape. To analyse and compile financial information for SPAR EC DC Retail stores. Key Performance Areas: Management and completion of store control accounts. Month end procedures. Preparation and posting of journals. Monitoring Creditors and Debtors ageing and ensure maintained at current levels with support of Clerks. EFT payment schedules – weekly. Correct allocation to G/L Accounts. Inter-branch transfers and inter-company accounts. Preparation of Balance Sheet Recons. Team Supervision. Provide support to stores. Assist in the preparation of budgets. Assist with year-end audit requirements. Ensuring compliance with internal controls, best operating practices and the implementation and maintenance of adequate control systems. Responsible for adherence to statutory requirements. Ad hoc tasks and duties. Matric. Diploma / Degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping – required. A minimum of 3 Years Accounting / Bookkeeping experience (essential). Knowledge of Easy Accounts would be an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good organisational skills.
