My client in the Computer Service industry is in search of a Bookkeeper. Responsibilities: Record financial transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments, in the accounting system or ledgers. Maintain general ledger: Update and maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, general journal entries, and other financial data. Reconcile accounts: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for. Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors. Prepare financial statements: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, by compiling and analyzing data from various sources. Process accounts payable and receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including issuing invoices, processing payments, and reconciling customer and vendor accounts. Monitor cash flow: Track cash flow and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet financial obligations. Prepare cash flow statements and provide recommendations for improving cash management. Maintain records and documentation: Organize and maintain financial records, invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents in an organized and accessible manner. Assist in budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis. Support audits: Provide documentation and assist auditors during internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on financial regulations: Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements. Requirements: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Apply Now
