Responsible for assisting with financial tasks within the accounting department. Involves handling financial records, processing transactions, reconciliations, reports and providing support to other members of the accounting team Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries Transaction Processing: Process sales, expenses, journals and other financial documents in an accurate timely manner Reconciliations: Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure descrepancies are reosvled promptly. Reporting: Prepare reconsiliations and financial reports, summaries and other documents as required by management Support: Provide support to the accounting ream by performing adminstrative tasks Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any financial queries or issues Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies Assistance: Assist with ad-hoc financial projecst and tasks as assigned Assurance: Assist with internal and external audits Requirements: Education : Matric qualification compulsory. Additional education in accounting or finance is preferred. Experience : Previous experience in a similar role (Preferably 5 years and more). Computer Skills : Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Evolution, Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. Attention to Detail : Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling financial data. Organizational Skills : Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills. Team Player : Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with colleagues. Analytical Skills : Good analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues.
