Our client, an established business within the Stutterheim area, seeks to employ a Stores Bookkeeper. KEY REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: Matric or equivalent 5 years experience in an accounts based role/ bookkeeping Previous working knowledge of Sage would be highly advantageous Applicants must be fully computer literate - MS Office applications Must possess an understanding of processing relating to receipting of inventory Strong communication skills - ability to interact at various levels Ability to supervise and direct junior staff DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: The successful candidate would be required, but not limited to; Provide support to staff with daily functions in the stores department Receipting of inventory items and capturing to SAGE, in accordance with procedure and ensuring efficient processing of documentation for presentation to the finance department Participating and supporting inventory counts; both adhoc and scheduled Reconciling inventory discrepancies identified during counts Assisting with the safeguarding of inventory Prepare reconcilations to agree balances between inventory modules and general ledger Performing administrative support tasks and month-end reporting processes Managing and overseeing the document control system within the stores department Implementing and maintaining stores related procedures and checks, as required by the Stores Cost Accountant Apply Now
