Bookkeeper, junior or mid-level Uvongo, South Coast (onsite position) Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 6.30pm Salary: R15 000 – R25 000 CTC Our client, a UK-based company specializing in developing and delivering accredited training courses to the UK market, is seeking a detail-oriented and accountable individual to join their accounts team as a Junior/Mid-Level Bookkeeper. With their headquarters based in the UK, the company operates with a sales and support team located in Uvongo, KZN. Established in 2009, the company boasts a staff complement of 49, with 38 based in the South African office. The successful candidate will work closely with our accountant to manage the company's financial records and assist in various accounting tasks to support our growing business. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures. Prepare and submit VAT returns (if applicable). Assist with payroll processing and related tasks. Support the accountant with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as needed Requirements: Matric required, Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
