Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. Duties include: Responsible for capturing monthly journals Update cashbook daily and reconciliation to be performed weekly/monthly Including assisting with loading of payments Follow up on processing of entries on projects until closure Review and submit monthly reporting Submit cash flow (daily and weekly) Monthly VAT return and reconciliation Monthly Reconciliation, maintenance, and documentation for all Balance Sheet General Ledger accounts Assist with the upkeep of a healthy debtors and creditors book Follow-up on open purchase orders to ensure costs are accounted in the correct period Maintain Fixed Asset Registers Assist with annual budgets Assist with stock taking Assist with various audits Ad hoc requests Requirements: Minimum Matric or equivalent Relevant diploma or degree in accounting Minimum of Five years' experience in a related role Accounting background experience Exposure to broad accounting from inputting date to trial balance. Experience preferable over qualification Exposure to high volumes of data and departments Able to work independently as part of a team, with minimum supervision. High level of time management skills required. Well organized, sober habits and high attention to detail. Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is essential Desired Skills: Cashbook Reconciliation Reporting Creditors Debtors VAT Budgets Audit Stock Taking Desired Work Experience: 2 to 5 years Bookkeeping Desired Qualification Level: Diploma
