Bookkeeper/Accountant (Hybrid) - Swellendam

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
  • B Com Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' working experience in an accounting firm
  • Bookkeeper to balance sheet will also be considered
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Candidates must possess good computer skills and the ability to learn new software
  • Familiarity with tax types and compliance requirements
SOFTWARE
  • Xero accounting software certified
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Dext
  • Google Suite
  • Karbon
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reconciling information on Xero
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Creditor reconciliations
  • Debtor reconciliations
  • Processing expense invoices in Dext
  • Identifying information / supporting documents required to perform reconciliations
  • Fixed asset register maintenance
  • Assisting in the compilation of tax returns to ensure compliance across payroll, VAT and income tax
  • Basic accounting journal entries
