Branch Manager - Khayelitsha

Our client is a Christian missionary skills development organization which seeks to develop people, especially unemployed people, socially, economically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the vacancies of Branch Manager, one to be based at their Khayelitsha Campus , another to be based at their Hermanus Campus . The Branch Manager is responsible for the management of the campus staff and processes. This position will require the candidate to excel in managing people and resources with the highest integrity. Main Requirements: 3-5 years Management experience preferably at middle management level. Act with the highest level of integrity, trustworthiness, honesty, professionalism in all matters pertaining to the job and personal life. Proven ability to plan, lead, organise and motivate a diverse team. Ability to apply policies and procedures to achieve goals and objectives. Understanding of various training methods will be advantageous. Thorough understanding of business practice over a wide range of aspects. A relevant business degree or diploma is desirable. Well-developed communication skills in English while knowledge of isiXhosa would be extremely beneficial. Systems oriented with good planning skills. Must be high performance orientated, can work independently, have functional proficiency, and initiative. Ability to meet deadlines is essential as well as attention to detail and report writing skills. Able to interact comfortably and effectively with people from different social, economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds and be team orientated. A basic understanding of building maintenance, Health and Safety and security procedures Four independent contactable references, from previous reporting lines. Primary Responsibilities: Have oversight of all existing training programmes, including course quality, training materials and administration. Have oversight of external training including quotations, development and implementation. Participate in strategic planning and development of new courses. Manage efficient and effective control of organizations resources. Take responsibility for the maintenance of the property of the branch. Work with the Director, Resource and Partnership Manager and Chief Operating Officer on funding initiatives for the Branch and its related programmes. Co-ordinating asset management and stock procedures. Ensure responsible, effective, and appropriate financial management of income and expenditure according to budget. Work with the Resource and Partnership Manager, and the Media, Communication and Events Manager. Administrative management. Attending Campus Management meetings regularly and preparing a Branch Report for the Trustees’ meeting. Managing all human resource issues for the Branch in consultation with other managers including performance evaluation and staff development.
