The Branch Manager is responsible for managing the Trade outlet to ensure that effective Agricultural services and products are provided to customers to ensure continuous profitability of the outlet. Education: Postgraduate qualification in an agricultural and / or trade management field will be advantageous Tertiary qualification in Commerce; B-Comm and/or the completion of a Generic Management (NQF-6) will count in the applicant's favour Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience in the agricultural environment with relevant managerial experience Valid driver's license Skills and Competencies: Proven experience in the management of a Trade outlet in order to ensure continuous profitability, effective growth, development and marketing Sound knowledge of financial planning and control systems (i.e. budgets, audits and stock counts) Advanced knowledge of internal admin controls, stock management and computer systems Have a proven record of customer service excellence, sales, communication, stock keeping and the establishment of a motivated and effective workforce Must have the ability to perform a diverse number of tasks simultaneously, pay attention to in-depth details and be able to process figures precisely and accurately Decision making in this role requires the necessity to act with authority as well as the ability to react swiftly to adjust to requirements of the marketplace Proven knowledge and experience w.r.t. markets and products in the Agriculture/Retail sector Sound knowledge of order schedules Ability to negotiate with suppliers with regards to price, service and problem solving Sufficient knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and relevant legislation Be familiar with Reporting / Correspondence / Quality manual Knowledge of Statutory requirements and Legislation Computer literate with advanced knowledge of systems and technology, Internet / E-Mail, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Applicants must possess good interpersonal and communication skills in order to promote sound customer and staff relations Personality Traits: The proper handling of conflict, problem solving, discipline and apply self-discipline and -control Accurate and organised Have a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation Integrity Leadership and management skills Apply Now
