The branch manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory in accordance with the ISO 17025 standard requirements. This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with quality management system requirements, maintaining accreditation and achieving financial objectives. Lead and manage a team of laboratory personnel including, hiring, training, scheduling and performance management. Ensure compliance with ISO17025 standards, regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. Implement quality management system procedures to maintain accreditation and improve laboratory performance. Monitor and evaluate laboratory performance through internal audits, proficiency testing and customer feedback. Manage laboratory resources including equipment, supplies and facilities to ensure effective operations Oversee the implementation of health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for laboratory staff. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns or issues. Prepare and analyse financial reports to monitor branch performance and achieve revenue targets. Collaborate with other branches or departments to share best practices and improve overall company performance Grade 12 / Diploma / Degree (Civils/Materials) with relevant 10 years experience Knowledge of ISO17025 standards and quality management systems. Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
