Are you an experienced accountant looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact? Join my client as a Brand Accountant and take on a pivotal role in financial management and reporting.
This position is based in Johannesburg North.

Duties:

Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Budgeting:
- Collaborate with management to develop detailed budgets for each campus and account, leveraging historical data and trend analysis.
- Support Principals and Managers throughout the budget compilation process.
- Monitor performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide insightful recommendations.
- Maintain communication with Group Shared Services for revenue collection and asset management.

Financial/Management Accounting:
- Reconcile billing and payments monthly and annually, ensuring accuracy.
- Manage inter-company loans and provide financial guidance to Principals and the Brand Management team.
- Review complex accounts and oversee reconciliation processes.
- Address queries from campuses and coordinate resolutions with Group Shared Services.

Financial/Management Reporting:
- Analyze financial performance for each campus and the overall brand.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Generate cash flow forecasts and manage monthly management accounts.
- Deliver MANCO reports within specified deadlines.

Compliance:
- Enforce adherence to financial policies and procedures across campuses and brands.
- Facilitate internal and external audit processes, addressing queries and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide training on financial policies and procedures to campus staff.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and approve expenditures as per authorization matrix.

Staff Management:
- Manage day-to-day workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Identify critical skills needed for sustainable service delivery.
- Facilitate staff training to enhance skills and efficiency.
