Brand and campaign executive - new beauty product brand - Blackheath

Our client, in Cape Town, is pivoting into the manufacturing of beuty products aimed at the Gen-Z and upcoming Gen-Alpha market. They are looking for a senior person to launch this brand, drive the establishment thereof, and, especially, design and drive a highly effective social media campaign that will appeal to the target market. The brand will launch in South Africa but is then planned to be introduced into the US market. Our client has already progressed on the development of the brand and initial market research. We are looking for a dynamic person who is up for this unique challenge. You will report directly to the founder of the company. A proven track-record in social media campaigns is a requirement. This high-impact role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in brand management, product development, and digital marketing, especially with an emphasis on social media. The executive will oversee all facets of the brand's introduction to the market, ensuring it meets consumer needs, aligns with current trends, and achieves significant market penetration and brand loyalty: Strategic Planning and Brand Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive launch strategy for the new brand. Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, preferences, and trends. Define the brand's vision, mission, and positioning in the market. Oversee product development to ensure alignment with brand values and market demands Product Management: Collaborate with R&D and production teams to develop high-quality skincare products. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Manage the product lifecycle from concept through launch and beyond. Marketing and Branding: Develop a compelling brand narrative and visual identity. Create and execute a robust marketing plan to build brand awareness and engagement. Plan and oversee the launch events and promotional activities. Social Media Campaign/Program: Design and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to drive brand awareness and engagement. Manage and grow the brand's social media presence across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok (mainly), YouTube, etc.). Develop engaging content tailored to each platform, including posts, stories, videos, and live sessions. Leverage influencer partnerships and user-generated content to amplify reach. Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies to maintain relevance and engagement. Analyze and report on social media performance metrics to optimize campaigns and drive continuous improvement. Public Relations and Community Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers in the skincare and beauty industry. Coordinate PR activities, including press releases, media kits, and interviews. Foster a community of loyal customers and brand advocates. Sales and Distribution: Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive product availability and accessibility. Identify and negotiate with retail partners and distributors. Oversee e-commerce strategies and website management to ensure a seamless online shopping experience. Financial Management: Prepare and manage the budget for the brand launch and ongoing marketing activities. Monitor financial performance and ensure ROI on marketing and branding initiatives. Report financial performance and KPIs to stakeholders. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring alignment with the brand's goals. Facilitate ongoing training and development opportunities for the team. Customer Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Implement systems to gather and analyze customer feedback. Use insights to refine products, marketing strategies, and customer engagement initiatives. Stay informed on industry developments and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge. Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility: Incorporate sustainable practices and ingredients into product development. Ensure the brand's operations and products align with ethical and environmental standards. Promote corporate social responsibility initiatives related to the brand. Advantageous: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). 7 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related role, preferably in the skincare or beauty industry. Proven experience in launching and growing a consumer brand. Strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Creative thinker with a strong understanding of current beauty and skincare trends. Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Market related Apply Now
