As a Business Development Executive, you'll be at the forefront of our growth strategy, tasked with expanding our market share by cultivating profitable new business accounts. Who You Are: Educated: With a Matric and a Level 4 FETC Short-term Insurance Qualification, you're well-prepared for the insurance industry. If you've also passed the FAIS Regulatory Exam and hold a Higher Certificate in Insurance, even better Experienced: You have a minimum of 7 years in short-term insurance, with at least 5 of those years in a commercial sales and service capacity within a broking environment. Competent: You possess a range of skills from business acumen, broking, and negotiation to communication, numeracy, and time management. Knowledgeable: Your understanding of the insurance and brokerage industry, combined with comprehensive commercial insurance product knowledge and familiarity with legal requirements, sets you apart. Your Role:As a Business Development Executive, you'll be responsible for: Prospecting / Sales: Compiling target lists, developing a new business pipeline, conducting proposal presentations, and achieving new business sales targets. Client Liaison: Regular networking, identifying opportunities, and maintaining relationships with critical decision makers. Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to FAIS requirements and company procedures. Performing Administration: Handling all relevant information, negotiating with the market, and maintaining hard copy and electronic files.
