Business Development Manager - Cape Town Region

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Primary Responsibilities: Regional Marketing Regional Business Development Customer Relationship Management Order Fulfilment & Operational Ownership of sold Services Leading the execution of sales/market share strategy for the region, partnerships and external relationships in sustainable energy solutions for telecommunications Building and managing the company pipeline & managing the sales/BD process Providing visible leadership for the company within the region Anticipating and reacting to major market changes to ensure the maintenance of company leadership in the competitive landscape Establishing standards and ensuring adherence to them for business operations Works closely with Operations & Group to define and deliver services & product sales in line with the company strategy Effectively manages budget, T&E according to company budget and processes Strategy and Planning In partnership with the company’s directors, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s sales and market capture strategy Identify technology trends and evolving social behaviour that may support or impede the success of the business. Lead sales strategic planning to achieve business goals Participate as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organization’s resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of operational delivery of products and services Communicate the company’s technology strategy to investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders In-Country Budget & P&L Management of budget, Services & Products sales and orders Marketing & Sales Implement Marketing Initiatives to build the company pipeline Build Company Pipeline according to strategic goals Respond to all RFP’s and Sales Leads Submit minimum proposal quota Submit minimum quotation quota Hardware (CAPEX based) Sales to new and existing customers Project Sales (CAPEX based) Sales to new and existing customers Recurring Services Sales to new and existing customers Manage customer expectations, partners, and vendors Profit Accountability on all Sales & Services ·Manage Sales Process Operational Management Operational Accountability on all sold services & products Define and communicate company values and standards within the company Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organization’s investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders with regard to the company’s business development vision, opportunities, and challenges.
