Our client, is a young, flourishing and singularly "Proud South African start-up" e-commerce organisation is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a dynamic Business Development Manager to join their team in Johannesburg.MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE:To partner with farmers, merchants, producers, factory owners and suppliers through assisting them with opening and managing an account on our clients online platform.PLEASE NOTE:A benchmarked Salary of R35K - R45K per month is on offer.KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:Proven knowledge and experience of the South African retail marketplace.At least 5 years experience in business development or National FMCG buying. A strong base of existing relationships with different merchants.Experience with buying and promotional negotiations.Working knowledge of supply chain mechanics.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends.Able to work on own as well as a pivotal member of a Business development Team.Sound Interpersonal relationship building skills.Have a "Can do" attitude.Sound communication and negotiation skills.An attitude of humility.Open to feedback and ideas of others.Proactive and independent, willingness to fail and learn. Own a reliable vehicle.Willing to travel throughout Gauteng.KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:? Activate at least 45 accounts for diverse farmers, merchants, producers, factory owners and suppliers to join our clients online shopping platform as a partner by the end of 2024.?
