Our client in the Financial Services industry is looing for a Business Development/Portfolio Manager to join their department: • Delivering exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions. • Providing telephonic / email support to the intermediary on record, authorized representatives from the brokerage, and broker services. • Analyzing the request from the intermediary and providing a quotation to secure the business (conversion). • Initiating out dials to intermediaries to discuss quotations and / or convert policies. • Assisting to resolve all insurance queries within required timeframe and compliance requirements. • Managing client expectation on expected turnaround times for submitted requests; • Adhering to underwriting criteria and regional requirements. • Assist with profiling the client with the best suitable product and underwriting criteria; • Assisting in implementing solutions for improvement. • Adhering to workforce management principles to ensure that we optimize productivity. • Source new business, preferably in the trucking industry through generating own leads • Be accountable for achieving profit target of R60 000 per month, • Be accountable for achieving profit target of R10 000 per month for other product providers • Convert 30% of quotations per month • Upselling of insurance products and silo business • Engage with potential clients and obtain a needs analysis of their short-term insurance needs • Acquire quotations • Follow up on inadequate underwriting information • Conduct presentations to potential clients • Influence potential clients to purchase recommended products and services • Provide ongoing service and support to clients • Ensure compliance and procedural requirements are always met • Ensure that client information and any other activities on system is constantly updated • Accountable for retaining policies • Accountable for follow up of unpaid premiums • Accountable for monthly renewals • Ensure that documentation is comprehensively completely by clients for new business, endorsements and renewals • Keep a record of advice given to the client • Ensure accuracy of all information sent to clients • Accountable for daily update of registers, Quotations, New Business, Renewals, Unpaid Grade 12 FAIS compliant: RE5 & NQF5 Class of Business Has been or on rep register. A minimum of 3 years appropriate transport experience Presentation and computer skills Driver's license Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance particularly in the transport sector R20 000 to R35 000 per month
