Business Development Manager (Retail & Hospitality) - George

Duties:
  • Call on valued retail customers (PnPs, Spars, Food Lovers, Independents etc) and clients in the Hospitality sector in the Southern Cape (Plett to Stilbaai) with a strong focus on developing business within them. Working with your manager, you would develop growth plans for each store and execute them.
  • Developing new business by opening new accounts. This is done by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Motivate, activate, and monitor in-store promotions. Often over weekends, you will have promotional teams you would manage, not necessarily be there in person
  • BDMs are responsible for the order & delivery process, customer stock, shelf management & occasional complaints.
  • Management of your Delivery and Tele-Sales team (2-6 people).
  • Attend regular training meetings.
  • Maintain customer records, using a bespoke CRM system.
Package:
  • Our client offers a basic salary of R20k, which is negotiable, dependent on experience, a well defined commission structure with potential to double take-home salary.
