Our client a dynamic and results-driven professional company is looking for an exciting Business Development Manager to grow their business footprint in West Africa. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join the team. This position involves extensive travel and the successful candidate must be based in Cape Town, South Africa Position: Business Development Manager Location: Cape Town Role Purpose: Accountable for driving business development by offering existing products, technologies and solutions within a specific portfolio, to new and existing customers. Maximise business growth and profitability for allocated region/s through the optimal promotion of products/solutions built on credible customer relations and partnerships. Minimum Qualifying Criteria: Degree or Diploma in Surveying or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years' experience working on mines and credibility in the Mining Industry. Fluent in French - Verbally and Written Open to extensive travel (West Africa) - Min 2 weeks monthly Computer Skills: Knowledge of CRM Software & Microsoft Office Other Skills and Competencies: Must be proficient in English to engage with international partners and stakeholders. Advanced knowledge of related products & services (Drones etc) Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently Surveying instrumentation knowledge Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal & non-verbal). Understanding of industry/applications/solutions/ customer requirements. Understanding of sales best practices. Conceptual ability to analyse, interpret & offer customised solutions. Problem solving ability. Roles and Responsibilities: Drive business development against set standards / targets. Offer quality solutions to meet customer needs by conducting proper research and addressing the customers pain points. Identify and manage sales channels and partnerships, ensuring effective collaboration and optimal results Develop methods for growth and maintenance of customer base through actively identifying new sales and market opportunities within allocated region/s as well as keeping in contact with loyal/repeat customers. Ensure continuous development and maintenance of own product knowledge for customer excellence. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the mining industry.
