BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) BUSINESS ANALYST - Cape Town City Centre

You will translate these requirements into top-notch BI technical solutions, adhering to industry best practices. Your key responsibilities will include detailed requirements analysis, process documentation, and user acceptance testing. Excel in this role with your strong analytical thinking and ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical users.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant 3-year tertiary or NQF aligned qualification.
- Business-related qualification, FTI or similar BA qualification is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Business Analysis related role.
- At least 3 years experience as a BI Business Analyst.
- Experience in BI Business Analysis, data design, and systems analysis in a BI environment.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Experience with Data Lake/Warehouse implementations, both on-premise and cloud-based.
- AWS certification is advantageous.
- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of Business Analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Knowledge of BI and Data Warehouse environments and best practices.
- Good general understanding of the retail industry and business processes.
- Able to work within the framework of the BI methodology.
Job Description:
- BI Requirements Analysis:
- Understand, analyze, evaluate, and document BI requirements from business users.
- Focus on analytical processes and KPIs.
- Design functional BI solutions, including reports and dashboards.
- Technical Documentation:
- Refine BI technical requirements concerning data modeling.
- Create source-to-target mappings.
- BI Solution Development:
- Ensure BI solutions meet business needs and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with BI Data Architects and Data Modellers to design and implement solutions.
- Perform functional testing and data validation of BI deliverables.
- User Support and Training:
- Assist business users during user acceptance testing and provide training inputs.
- Support BI implementations and post "go-live" phases.
- Quality Assurance:
- Contribute to Data Governance and BI Quality Assurance initiatives.
- Stay updated with BI industry trends, tools, and technologies.
- Foster effective partnerships with BI and IT teams.
