Business manager - Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities:

  • To drive and grow revenue, revenue sales, and client bases by effective account management and keeping strong long-term customer relationships, therefore assuring customer retention and sustainability for the organisation.
  • New Business Development: Ensures meeting or exceeding volume, NPV, GRV, and cold calling targets, along with acquiring new customers and suppliers. Understands industry trends, identifies target customers, and develops proposals while maintaining a qualified pipeline.
  • Account Management: Retains responsibility for profit, growth, and customer satisfaction. Manages customer relationships, analyses trends, and ensures SAP accuracy. Coordinates end-of-term strategy, expands visibility, and provides regular feedback.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Builds positive relationships, identifies and resolves issues promptly, manages internal stakeholder interactions, and meets customer attendance expectations at marketing events.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Focuses on supplier penetration, manages service-related SLAs, and ensures mutual satisfaction. Manages stakeholder interactions and escalates issues as needed.
  • Self-Management: Demonstrates effective time management, continuously develops skills, supports core values, and meets team objectives. Takes ownership, communicates effectively, and responds positively to feedback.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant or recognised Post Matric qualification in Finance/T or equivalent
  • Must have 3 to 5 years experience in account management and the sale of asset-based finance
  • Having done so in the I.T. environment will be an advantage.
  • Sound internal and external networks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (e.g. SLA's)
  • Basic IT understanding
  • Excellent knowledge of systems and product knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of company policies and procedures including relevant reporting and administration procedures
  • Sound knowledge of customer requirements
  • Sound knowledge of quality control procedures
  • Sound knowledge of reporting lines and escalation procedures
