Description Well-established packaging manufacturer seeks to employ a Buyer who is an excellent negotiator, can source effectively, has worked in the manufacturing environment and who can buy from consumables to technical items. Epping based. For the position you would be required to have: Minimum of Matric/ Grade 12, Tertiary/purchasing qualification preferable At least 3 years’ Buyer experience or similar Manufacturing experience Fluent in English & Afrikaans Computer Literacy is essential (JD Edwards & Abaca an advantage) Well organised & sound work ethic and can perform under pressure Responsibilities would include you to: Negotiation with suppliers to achieve the best quality, price & service Controlling & issuing of purchase orders Maintain records of all matters relating to purchases Regularly review suppliers & make recommendations regarding alternative products/suppliers Execute purchases in terms of company standards & purchasing requirements Accurate general ledger account & subledger allocations on orders Manage outstanding /open orders report on Excel On time document preparation for month end Provide cost management information timeously to Department Managers Responsible for monitoring & issuing of Stationery to all Please apply online or contact Jan van Dyk on 021 – 531 2015 for more information
