- Experience: 5 to 10 years
- Qualifications: Matric
- Professional Registrations: Not required.
- Software: Microsoft Office (proficient in excel, word, outlook), Proficient in Sage Evolution (Important)
- Proficient in English (Crucial) and Afrikaans (Ideal)
- Notice period: Immediate.
- Experience as a buyer in the large trailer manufacturing and steel industry.
Responsibilities:
- Daily purchasing of supplies
- Receiving supplies
- Negotiating with suppliers for pricing.
- Invoicing
- Stock control.
Qualities/Skills:
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
- Identifying problems and implement preventative strategies to minimize risk.
- Being able to develop good working relationships and trust with co-workers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytic ability and be very detail oriented.
- Working well with many different departments and external suppliers.
- Always keeping the end-user/customer in mind.
- Being results and deadline driven.
- Proficient in MS Office and Sage evolution
