Requirements:
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years
  • Qualifications: Matric
  • Professional Registrations: Not required.
  • Software: Microsoft Office (proficient in excel, word, outlook), Proficient in Sage Evolution (Important)
  • Proficient in English (Crucial) and Afrikaans (Ideal)
  • Notice period: Immediate.
  • Experience as a buyer in the large trailer manufacturing and steel industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily purchasing of supplies
  • Receiving supplies
  • Negotiating with suppliers for pricing.
  • Invoicing
  • Stock control.

Qualities/Skills:
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
  • Identifying problems and implement preventative strategies to minimize risk.
  • Being able to develop good working relationships and trust with co-workers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytic ability and be very detail oriented.
  • Working well with many different departments and external suppliers.
  • Always keeping the end-user/customer in mind.
  • Being results and deadline driven.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Sage evolution
