A charismatic communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment. Tech-savvy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite. An organisational wizard, adept at planning and execution. Someone who brings positivity, adaptability, and a keen eye for detail. Deep market insight, keen on product knowledge and pricing strategies. Expertise in negotiation, time management, and interpersonal interactions. YOUR MISSION: Craft compelling product ranges that resonate with our diverse clientele. Be the trend-spotter: Generate sales by staying ahead of market shifts. Master the art of negotiation, balancing cost and quality to perfection. Ensure seamless order execution, from accurate purchase orders to on-time delivery. Build enduring relationships based on trust with suppliers, customers, and team members. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best terms and product availability. Analyze market trends and customer preferences to make informed buying decisions. Collaborate closely with the sales team to align product offerings with customer needs. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock. Conduct regular reviews of product performance and adjust buying strategies accordingly. Manage the entire product lifecycle, from selection and negotiation to delivery and performance analysis. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION: Matric qualification is essential. Relevant tertiary qualification in merchandising, retail management, or a related field. Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment. Experience in homeware and soft furnishings is advantageous. Knowledge of retail/wholesale supply chain operations.
