Summary of role: The purpose of a Buyer requires extensive research and the ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage inventory, evaluate quality of goods and ensuring stock arrives at the right time, place, and price. The purpose of a Planner is to coordinate the flow of work and materials. Reporting progress and production planning problems. Determine the scope and requirements of operations, analyze the distribution process to make improvements and prepare logistics reports. Buying Follow-up on quotes, back orders, pricing requests daily. Purchasing of external stock from suppliers. Ensuring PO's and GRN documents as well as supplier invoices are signed off by Manager for all branches under control. Request and receive quotations from suppliers where new pricing are needed to update the system for accurate sales and pricing data. Scanning of supplier's documents to company folder and sending originals to Finance department. All filing functions of the branch. Assist with stock takes and cycle count when required. Scan all invoices and PODs to company server. Following up on outstanding requisitions and production parts orders with the relevant departments. Updating of Barcode comments for PO's. Generating component parts and raw material order requirements based on schedule demand. Upload information onto internal MRP system, ensuring information is valid and accurate. This includes manufacturing orders. Demonstrate good planning skills to organize, prioritize, and balance workload. Plan, co-ordinate and maintain all manufacturing information system. Insure purchasing of all manufacturing related, nonstandard bought out items. Co-ordinate the movement of raw/finished products from point of origin to point of consumption. Receipt and sorting of drawing revisions. Compiling daily outstanding lists and distributing them to Logistics Manager. Planning Compiling daily outstanding lists and distributing them to Planning Manager. General administrative tasks of planning department. Manage raw material and component stock to identify if there are any concerns and implementation of countermeasures to mitigate potential problems. Effective planning and execution of daily/monthly production requirements. Process work orders and any other production support activities as required. Grade 12 (essential) Relevant qualification (beneficial) Relevant experience in buying and planning (essential) Computer literate: MS Office (Word & Excel) Syspro or ERP system experience (beneficial) Apply Now
