Buyer (Raw Materials ) - Strand
Requirements:

- Grade 12 / Matric
- Tertiary Certificate / Diploma in Purchasing
- Previous MRP (Syspro) experience - advantageous
- 3-5 years production buying experience in FMCG or CPG environment
- 3-5 years knowledge of stock control
- Excellent planning experience
- Attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills
- Creative, out of the box thinker
- Good Mathematical / Numerical skills
- Proficient in Excel
- Able to work independently
- Planning, preparing and placing purchases for equipment, services, and supplies to meet the companies production scheduled dates and to ensure material arrives JIT
- Daily expediting of orders and keep the factory apprised of delays
- Reviewing material requirements on a weekly/monthly basis
- Internal liaison with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure flawless production flow
- Order best product or service that have the lowest price after reviewing and analyzing all options
- Managing inventory levels to ensure capital is not tied up in raw material
- General / Ad hoc assistance to the Procurement Manager
