Our client based in Durban is looking for a Buying Supervisor to join their team. Uploading bill of materials into ERP system (SYSPRO) Buying/ordering by raising purchase orders for all items as per bill of materials Negotiating market pricing, lead times and payment terms for bought items Working proactively to expedite all orders Accurately reporting on ETAs on all orders. Co-ordinate with suppliers and project managers to ensure materials are delivered to site according to project schedules. Accurate reporting on all back orders, missing items or materials damaged during transport. Deliver a weekly purchase order report to management that indicates the vendor delivery note, invoice number & GRN number for all closed purchase orders; (Reconciled order qty vs actual received qty) as well as a substantiation of all open purchase orders. Maintaining approved suppliers list Request and analyse quotations and cost breakdowns Maintaining Sourcing Approval documents Updating of all purchasing reports to Management Assist with inventory control Assisting with Supplier Evaluations Assist with project budget management Matric Teritiary qualification in supply chain (advantageous) At least 5 years' in a similar role Experience working as a Buyer in a manufacturing/engineering environment Experience supervising Junior Buyers Experience working on Syspro (advantageous)
