For this position with MSC, you are required to have:
- Minimum Bachelors degree with an emphasis on Nautical College
- Motivation to excel in the job duties and responsibilities.
- Must have solid computer skills, including comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to quickly comprehend onboard software programs Opnet, Fidelio and any other software utilized onboard by the Master and Deck Department.
- Command of the English language with excellent oral, writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar skills.
- Basic understanding of customer service and able to adapt and adjust to a variety of circumstances.
- Able to prioritize tasks and follow deadlines accordingly. Good follow up skills are a must. Must be resourceful, creative, demonstrate initiative and possess a positive attitude.
- Able to communicate sensitive information in a diplomatic manner. Must perform all tasks with strict confidentiality and discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management, guests and employees.
- Must have Cruise Ship experience in the same role.
