Catering Procurement Supervisor - South Africa

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Procurement Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of catering items for effective management of our kitchen procurement process for our Restuarant. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize the supply chain for food and beverage products. Manage contracts with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of catering goods. Utilize inventory software system to track inventory levels, monitor purchasing trends, and generate reports for decision-making. Oversee inventory management processes to minimize waste, reduce costs, and maintain optimal stock levels. Source new suppliers and products to enhance the variety and quality of our food and beverage offerings. Build strong relationships with vendors through effective communication, negotiation, and performance evaluation. Negotiate prices with suppliers to secure competitive rates while maintaining product quality standards. Ensure compliance with contract terms, including delivery schedules, payment terms, and quality specifications. Utilize inventory software systems to forecast demand, plan procurement activities, and optimize inventory levels Performing risk assessments on potential vendor contracts and agreements. Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs. Monitor's restaurant business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times Research new products and services to meet company's goals Preparing procurement reports Maintain all records needed for accounting. Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production. Proven experience in catering procurement, supply chain management, and contract negotiation. Good Knowledge of all areas of kitchen operations and food production processes Strong background in food service and restaurant supervision / management. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of catering inventory management principles and best practices. Excellent sourcing abilities to identify high-quality suppliers and products. Effective vendor management skills including negotiation and relationship building. Ability to analyze pricing structures, evaluate contracts, and drive cost-saving initiatives Apply Now
