Job Summary: The Central Floor Stores Controller will be responsible for the accurate recording and stock taking, labelling, and categorisation of consumable stock across three inventory warehouses. The role aims to ensure supply ahead of demand, prevent stock outages, and replan the layout and labelling of stock positions to streamline stock takes, picking, and packing processes. By the end of the contract, Phases 1, 2, and 4 stores should be organised identically. This role is available available until the end of November 2024 Accurate Stock Recording and Stock Taking: Conduct precise stock takes to ensure actual stock levels match theoretical stock. Record all stock movements accurately in the inventory management system. Report any discrepancies immediately and investigate their causes. Labelling and Categorization: Re-label all stock positions to ensure clarity and ease of identification. Categorise consumable stock effectively to optimise storage and retrieval. Implement a standardised labelling system across all three phases. Supply Chain Management: Monitor ways to manage stock levels proactively to ensure supply ahead of demand. Re-visit the methods used in calculating stock levels and determine reorder points to prevent stock outages by maintaining minimum stock levels. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of stock. Replanning Store Layout: Assess current store layouts and identify areas for improvement. Replan the layout of the stores to optimise space utilisation and ease of access. Ensure the new layouts for Phases 1, 2, and 4 are identical to facilitate easier management. Stock Position Management: Ensure that all stock positions are clearly marked and labelled. Regularly review and update stock positions to reflect changes in stock levels or categories. Maintain an organised and tidy store environment. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all stock transactions and movements. Prepare regular reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and other relevant metrics. Document any changes to store layouts, labelling systems, and stock positions. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless stock management. Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders regarding stock levels and requirements. Provide training and guidance to staff on the new labelling and categorization systems. Qualifications: Proven experience in stock control and inventory management. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in inventory management software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions: Limited duration contract maximum 4 months. Based at Efficient Engineering's Phase 1, 2, and 4 Inventory Warehouses. Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting.
