Position Description| Title Traffic Scheduler in Share Service (Platform) Reports to Traffic Scheduling Team Leader Direct reports NA Functional reports NA Main Mission The role of a traffic scheduler is to manage and optimize transport flows on behalf of plant(s) : The scope may include inbound and outbound; road, sea and air; standard and premium; Full Truck Load (FTL), Less than Truck Load (LTL) and Shared Flows. She or he contribute to the continuous improvement of the transport organization in his/her scope. The traffic scheduler is accountable for TS daily operations according to agreed SLA with the plants, The Operational cost of his/her scope ( Transaction cost to plant) The Cost recharged to carriers ( YTD and forecast vision) Part of productivity portfolio with carriers according to improvement roadmaps Performance Indicators Inbound / Outbound freight costs vs Budget (in value and % of sales) Transport Management process adherence (ICB compliance, TEO and other Traffic tools compliance) Transport service rate (MPM related to freight), Traffic alert management ( alerts, time to solve) TS platform cost effectiveness ( Transaction cost to plants according to dedicated scope) Truck filling rate optimization Specific activities Optimize transport flows: define the monthly/weekly transport plan in cooperation with the plant (Material Planners, Master Scheduler, Customer Contacts and PC&L Manager for validation) Monitor the truck utilization per lane vs target (in % of ldm/m3, weight, HU), Identify truck utilization opportunities in the weekly/monthly plans and liaise with the material planners to improve it, Manage transport flows: execute the weekly transport plan Prepare and sent Freight Orders to the carriers through the Transport Management System, Follow-up the execution of the Freight Orders (adherence to loading/unloading windows). In case of delay, alert the plant and work on resolution/back-up with the carrier, When required, organize premium freight according the related procedure, Ensures three-way-match of freight invoices, Support the resolution of claims with carriers, in relation with the plant, finance and account payables. When the management of a Consolidation Center is in the scope of work of the Traffic Scheduler: Create the weekly cross-dock matrices Manage the pick-ups from Suppliers to the Consolidation Center Control the split of shared flows costs between the plants Continuous improvement Control the accuracy of data in the Transport Management System (packaging, lead-time, distances, costs, …) ; Ensure correction are done by the adequate department when discrepancies are identified, Create and maintain transport and service agreements with the carriers, Monitor & report actual and forecasted cost performance vs Budget/Standard cost on a weekly basis, Support the implementation of new tools, systems and processes, Contribute to the definition and implementation of new transport concepts. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have/be: Technical or Master's degree in transport or supply-chain management, First experience in transport operations or material planning, SAP SAP knowledge and especially MM , PP and TM modules appreciated Multi-functional & Multi-cultural communication, Minimum bi-lingual (incl. English), Customer orientation / Team spirit / Autonomy / Openness to new ideas, Ability to work under time pressure Affiliation / Profile Job Level TBC Function PC&L Location / Organization PG X, Region Y, MPTS Platform Z Schedule / Contract Full-time / Unlimited Term, Working calendar According to business needs and Plant SLA signed, can be in shift pattern, and should include back up presences (WE included), that can be in Home office Travel Low level (less than 10 %) Education Technical or Master's Degree in Transport or Supply-Chain Management Apply Now
