As a hands-on CEO, you will be at the helm of this large, dynamic and innovative retail business, driving strategic direction, brand enhancement, operational excellence, and sustained profitability.
You will be responsible for leading a diverse team (600 people in the wider teams), fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
Key areas of responsibility will include Strategic Leadership; Brand Portfolio; Operational Excellence; Financial Management; Team Development; Market Expansion (Including international); Customer Experience; Marketing; Community Engagement.
Further requirements include
- Proven experience as a CEO or in other Executive / Senior Managerial roles in the retail industry.
- Deep understanding of Retail industry.
- Experience managing a wider team of 600+ people.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, finance, and performance management principles.
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, sales, and operations.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
- Demonstrable competency in managing multiple brands.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Experience in developing offshore businesses.
- An understanding of tender processes.
Qualification and Experience
CA(SA), MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
Relevant experience as a CEO or similar executive position of a large retail business.
