Engineco is seeking to employ a Chartered Accountant to join their finance team. The candidate will be responsible to coordinate the daily activities of the finance division to quickly and accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the Company and other entities Prepare, analysing, interpreting & presenting of management statements. Compiling Budgets and Forecasts. Analysing trial balance accounts identifying errors and raising journals. Balance sheet and nominal accounts reconciliations. Maintain an organised set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions. Resolves complex accounting issues. Prepare monthly / annual financial statements, audit files and ad hoc financial reports. Oversee annual audit - file preparation, implementation of controls to ensure accurate processing. Payroll costing and reconciliation, oversight, compliance and submission of SARS returns, bonus / leave provision calculations. Monthly VAT review, reconciliation, oversight and submission of SARS returns. Calculations and Completion of Provisional and Income Tax Returns, E-filing Administration, submitting supporting documents. Debtors – Oversight of collections, Reporting on Outstanding debt, Provision for bad debt and credit notes. Creditors – Review reconciliation, load bank payments Inventory – Costing, Reconciliation, Oversee stock counts Fixed assets – Maintain register, Reconciliation, Depreciation, cycle counts. Banking – Monitoring and forecasting of cash flow, compiling of reports, payment preparations, Bank reconciliations of local and foreign accounts, Cash management and transfers between accounts Petty Cash Supervise, direct, and review the work of the accounting staff. BBBEE – controls to maintain and improve levels, verifications and audits process. Other Admin or Financial duties as required. Qualified Chartered Accountant CA (SA), registered with a recognised institution. Minimum of 3 years post articles experience - Private sector and Manufacturing. Proficient in working with Sage 200 Evolution. Fluent in English. Advance Knowledge of Excel Formulas including Pivot Tables etc. Sound knowledge of Tax regulations. Sound knowledge of Companies Act and all Accounting Regulations. High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meeting deadlines. Ability to work independently, with little supervision. Ability to effectively direct and supervise. Ability to analyse financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
