Minimum requirements for the role: A Chartered Accountant or CIMA or BCom Hons or related qualification is essential for the role. Previous experience having worked in a senior financial management role is essential. Previous experience of operating at an executive management level is preferred. Previous operational financial management experience having worked within the plastics or related manufacturing industry with a strong focus on strategic management is essential. The successful candidate must have good IT and software skills. Previous exposure to risk management experience is essential. Must be able to handle pressure, take ownership and accountability and drive good commercial outcomes with the managing executive. Must have a good business acumen and a general knowledge of business outside of the finance sphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Overseeing and strategically managing the companies finances and operations of the business. Overseeing the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks. Performing regular financial analysis. Developing budgets that meet the requirements of companies departments. Establishing targets and managing all accounting and finance employees including management accountants and internal auditors. Supervising all audit and internal control processes. Preparing detailed reports on the company's financial performance. Guaranteeing compliance with financial laws and guidelines. Recognising patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas. Reviewing financial costing models.
