Job Purpose As a member of the Executive team, it is the duty of the Chief People Officer to provide strategic direction to the organization for its Human Resources requirements through the development and implementation of a human capital management strategy and the implementation of appropriate People Risk management. The role provides critical leadership in building the capability and capacity of the people shared services teams and leading integrated service delivery through our aligned People Partners. The incumbent will be expected to work as part of a cohesive team, contributing to the clients Strategic Leadership and direction and, when necessary, take lead responsibility for corporate issues outside their immediate sphere of responsibility. Critical Success Factors Position HR as a strategic business partner and create measures to improve the perceptions of HR contribution to bottom line. Evaluate and determine the most appropriate employee value proposition for the clients employees including the reward, benefits, development, attraction, leadership development, wellness and HR service delivery in conjunction with required HR specialist services. Measure the effectiveness of its application and make alterations where required. Evaluate opportunities and risks for Human Resource management in the organization in the long-term. Use the information to lead on the development of a comprehensive Human Resources Management strategy to support overall objectives and the achievement of the High-Performing Organization agenda. Effective stewardship of a business led talent strategy that develops individuals, teams, and organization within the context of systems leadership. A strong partnership with other leaders which creates an aligned high-performance culture. Delivery of an efficient and effective People Services offering to support and improve the ability of managers to lead people in doing their best work. Job Requirements A postgraduate (NQF 8) qualification in Human Resources Management/Labour Law/Commerce Masters Degree in Human Resources Management, Commerce or Labour Law Required knowledge HR Management HR technical skills – payroll, JD's , Salary benchmarking, IR, Talent Management, Recruitment & Selection Statutory Reporting Skills/Abilities Policy drafting People Management People Development IR Experience 10-15 Years in Human Resources management Prior experience in the Employee Benefits industry related field would be recommended Desired Skills: Administration Administrative Employee Benefits Administration Employee Relations Human Resources About The Employer: An innovative and agile Employee Benefits FSP with a national reach and having been operating in the employee benefits / retirement funding and investment space (in various forms) for over 50 years.
